The Trane CNT1015 Auto Limit Switch is a safety device with a tame presence in most air conditioning and heating systems and Trane specifically. At such times as temperatures go higher than the set range (105–135 ºF), it becomes an automatic switch that turns off the electrical supply. This also serves to eliminate any concerns of fire outbreaks and husbands the safety of the equipment from overheating. It basically operates similar to a safety thermostat which is used to shut off the electricity for the system when it gets too hot.
