The Emerson Flow Control (Alco) 091063 Thermal Expansion Valve (TXV) is intended for use in R410A refrigeration HVAC systems, 5 ton, 3/8 “x 1/2” ODF. This valve controls the amount of refrigerant to maintain the correct superheat and hence, the cooling capacity of the installation. The unit has a 5-foot capillary tube that can be placed in any position depending on the setting. The advantages of this valve include increased energy efficiency of the system, increased system performance, and decreased chances of compressor damage due to wrong refrigerant flow. The refrigerant type is suitable for air conditioning and heat pump systems and is suitable to be used in residential and commercial units.
