The Emerson Flow Control (Alco) 060828 28.5 Ton accumulator compatible with R22 refrigerant used in air conditioning systems. This accumulator is equipped with a bi-flow valve-less coil, which enables the equipment to work effectively in cooling and heating systems. It communicates through a 1-5/8” size for the accumulator and 5/8” connections which makes it suitable for use with different HVAC equipment that include the residential and light commercial units. Major duties it has is to hold excessive refrigerant and ensure that movement continues without having liquid refrigerant flowing into the compressor as this will damage it.
