The Emerson Flow Control (Alco) 057312 HC 8-Ton Thermal Expansion Valve (TXV) 1/2”X5/8”ODF is an essential refrigeration valve for mid to large-scale refrigeration and air conditioning. This TXV is specially made for 8-ton applications and has 1/2” and 5/8” ODF Outside Diameter Flare connections. The HC may mean high capacity, designed to operate when a part capacity is strained. This TXV regulates the admission of liquid refrigerant into the evaporator by using the temperature to open the valve and determine its degree of opening.
