The Emerson Flow Control (Alco) 055931 2.5 Ton Thermostatic Expansion Valve (TXV) is an ideal equipment for flow regulation in refrigeration and air conditioning systems. During the cooling of the evaporator, the TXV opens to admit more refrigerant into the system, and at the same time, it closes to restrict the flow of refrigerant into the evaporator when it warms up. This dynamic control enhances the performance of the system in heat transfer and also avoids the flow of liquid refrigerant to the compressor. It has 3/8” X1/2” connections and 5FT capillary and is ideal for use in all types of HVAC equipment such as residential and commercial air conditioners, refrigerators and freezers.
