The Emerson Flow Control (Alco) 054968 Thermostatic Expansion Valve (TXV) is a ideal to use in refrigeration systems with R-502 refrigerant. It comes with 3/8 SAE x 1/2, 1/2 RZ charge and a 5 feet capillary tube. This TXV controls the amount of R-502 refrigerant that enters the evaporator by responding to the sensed temperature and avoiding over-temperature and poor cooling. It optimizes the flow of refrigerant which in return enhances energy conservation, cuts operating expenses and increases the longevity of the refrigerator equipment.
