The Emerson Flow Control (Alco) 047504 1.27-ton Normally Closed solenoid valve used with R22 refrigerant has a 3/8” sweat connection. This valve functions in heating and cooling systems managing refrigerant hence controlling cooling cycles in the systems. When power is supplied to it, the solenoid pulls the valve upward opening a passage through which refrigerant can pass when power is not supplied to it, it pulls the valve downwards, blocking the passage through which the refrigerant passes. This functionality is essential controlling the temperatures that are in use in air condition as well as refrigerators.
