The Carrier KSALA0201R22 Low Ambient Kit is a carrier part that is intended to enhance the performance of the corresponding Carrier air conditioning units in low ambient conditions. If the temperature is below the normal range of the unit, this kit has a low-pressure switch and a fan cycling control to make the unit operate effectively. Low ambient pressure can also be observed in the refrigeration system and this is as a result of low pressure. If the pressure is too low, the switch turns on the fan and the pressure increases again. This helps to protect the compressor in a way that before the compressor can turn on, there should be enough refrigerant pressure.
